Mmm well Jessie and I were talking about this and about third classes.

I decided to create a thread so we don't have to spam other threads to just talk about it.

Anyway, RO is an MMORPG (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) with 3D maps and cute 2D players. :3 There's over 250 maps and new ones are always coming out! The main storyline is to choose your jobs and well it depends on the Episode, I think the current one is about Satan Morrocc? Or was that a long time ago x__x'' There are lots of quests...some of them are really really sad :C Like the Friendship Quest...T.T

There's also RO2 which is the 3D version of this game (which I can't find a private server for o.o; And I think it's only in Korean anyway) and Ragnarok Animation (I finished itt. <3 They don't have trans classes, but it's realllly goodd :3)

RO actually started with just Novice -> 1st job -> second job
But then they added REBIRTH so you could go Novice -> 1st job -> second job -> rebirth -> high novice -> high 1st job -> transcendant 2nd job
And NOW (2009~10) we have 3rd class
Novice -> 1st job -> second job -> rebirth -> high novice -> high 1st job -> transcendant 2nd job -> 3rd class

So it goes like this.

Novice -> Acolyte-> Priest -> rebirth -> high novice -> High Acolyte -> High Priest -> Archbishop

However, 3rd class skills are quite Overpowered...Such as Guillotine Cross (SinX 3rd) has a hiding skill that can't be detected by sight/ruwatch. :U This makes them OP because Stalkers have that skill already, however their skills are f'd up and if you have a SinX that can't be ruwatched they can just EDP and use Freaking Grimtooth on you =.=;

Also Warlock (3rd Wizzy) has this HUGEE AoE spell o.O'' It's freaking Huge? Like, it covers the whole map that you see. D: !! So freaking cool. <_<; Yet once again, OP, cuz you can just do it in the WoE and it'll do the whole map lmfao.

RO itself you have to pay for like, iRO (the real Ragnarok Online) but people have created Private Servers (your own little server that you can customize and add ppls to) that ppl join, well, I'm at a private server named FusionRO. I've gone to LOTS of Private servers (30+) but only like, 6 that I really care for.

1. XileRO -> High Rate. Donate nooby server. :/ It's not too bad...got some cool pets and craps...I think. ; But it's so...boring. :/ No one really wants to help you there...I managed to get 2 people, but meh. Yvette invited me to this server, and it was the first time that I actually understood anything. One of the boys I knew put my account on a bot XD It was freaking awesome.
2. BlackoutRO -> I actually downloaded this first but Yvette hadn't played this serv so she told me to dload Xile; after I got bored of Xile I just came back to this server. I still remember that there's a lot of Donators and leveling is quite easy. I loved it, it was nice and easy to level and it didn't matter whether you were nooby or not, there are probably other noobs out there that you can pwn. XD Still to kill most ppls, you'll need Donate set (You can do quests to get some of the same quip except it;s not slotted but you know you need slotted quips on a HR) I played on this a verry long time, though, all the way until it got WIPED.

I did it anyway, but meh I got bored of this server after everything got wiped. I loved my Holy Light (20k dmg, can spam) to pwn ppls, but I guess that there were too many gay ppls for my liking. T.T I met hamzaherethough:3 (lmao)
3. HeRO
Low Rate. I can't remember if HeRO or XecRO came first but MEH whatever. Donate free server, and it was pretty fun to play here with Hamza-chan. They have a buncha custom crapps. <3 It was a problem with the leveling, though, and everytime you die you lose 1% D: So I was liek NO I AM NOT GONNA DIE * * I know my friend who was in like, level 8 of a dungeon, and they forgot a butterfly wing so they were stuck and couldn't get back to Pront, and I was like lols just suicide and respawn in Pront, and they were like FF ARE U CRAZY D8 I'LL LOSE 1% UR CRAZY lmao. <.<; WoE was fun...the guild I was in, Bamboo, always had Aldebaran. =D It got a little boring after a while though because leveling's so hard, and then something happened btween me and Hamza that I don't remem, so I sorta left this servie. :/ They also have hero quests like for light and dark that you can get 'quipment but completing these also requires you to win a PvP match which of course I'll lose as a priest so fk that... >.>
4. XecutiveRO
Xecuu <3 High Rate. I always loved this servie, my sissy asked me to join 'cuz she didn't ever play heRo but instead jumped from bRO to xRO. I joined and I got a lots of friends. =D
It's fairly easy to level because if you are sensible you'll level at nif_fild02 with the Loli ruris; on this serv they drop 2%...
LEVEL UP SCROLL
That's right, =D no matter what level you are, using level up scrolls...levels you up! XD It's not for job lvl though, just base lvl. So really all you have to do is start killing loli ruris at maybe? 190 and then you'll have enough scrolls by lvl 220 to be level 255. :3 This server was quite unbalanced with Priest (meh they can't do any dmg whatsoever) so I just made a Creator (heal AoE AND AD, lmao, ftw) and learned how to pwn. XD There was Imo set (Immortal, but I like calling it imo ---- it sounds like Emo! <_< and it looks emo too 'cuz it's all black and gothickey) , Dusk, Dawn set --- there were donates but not many ppls donated there was just Goggy and like, Masa. XD
At a point I was owning a bunch of castles and I very nearly reached 100 billion on this server because they drop megingjards and sliepnirs which sell for like 50m each and if you are pwn like me then you can just keep the castle for like 5 months in a row XD And obtain bunches of shiz. <_<;
At one point I was throwing Sliepnirs to noobies for free LMAO XD I lovedd this serverrr. ~
But then there was the 3rd class come out.

And they refused to release it.

:C So I left. A lot of people left. Actually, everyone left, and they created:
5. EkRO
They still didn't have 3rd class and this server is fkd up and Id on't like it so I don't feel like talking about it...Sigh It was okay at first...sort of. It's a little harder to get stuff here than xecRO, but w/e you know I managed to get like 80 billion cuz i exploited a 'bug' (HOW IS IT A BUG THAT A CARD SELLS FOR 550M? HUH? HOW THE FFF IS THAT A BUG -__-) and then well sissy made a deal with the GM to get my quips and zeny and shiz back for 10b (as no one else knows how to get zeny lmfao) So I ended up pwning a few peoples, but my heart wasn't in it 'cuz I had to pretend to be someone else. (They ban me so I cant be myself lols or else they'll investigate why i have 80 bill) Then ppls started donating...blah. :/ I got bored and left, mainly because the guild I was in, they banned the owner. This server has a problem with banning people, I know like 10 people that they banned in the first two months it was open lmfao. I left it now...its boring...sissy donate and everyones donate T.T its a noob donate serv now. High Rate.
6. FusionRO
XD Low Rate. I'm at this one right now. There's quite a low playerbase (around 15 ppls at most) but it's fun for mee. :3
The leveling isn't TOO hard but it isn't EASY <.<; Like if you wanted to, leeching works. :U But meh there is a nice peoples here. It's somewhat uneventful, but it has 3rd class and quite a bit of customs =D I like itt <3
Wings, depending on the type, are a pain to obtain. <_<; Like I had to kill Ktullanux for these Ice Wings --- I just let my GuildMaster get on his friend's Warlock; I just Lex Aeterna because it has 4.4m hp and I can only do about 900 dmg per Judex on it D: ! *sad* Well, not much to say about this serv, it's a lil OP but everything can be countered with the patience to kill 1,000 monsters for a card. Lmao.

It's not that hard compared to iRO, where the exp is 15x less than here. T.T; I went to heRO which was 5x and I have an 80 something priest there. :3 But they won't tell me my account username and password (I left a support ticket but it's been a month and they STILL HAVE NOT REPLIED. <.<) that I forgot so I can't access my 3million zeny and charrie :C

WoE here, we WoE today, it was fun, we weren't close though. They have this Whitesmith that does like, HAX dmg on you (he takes like half your HP...5k per Cart Termination and he can spam Cart Termination) and he stuns you too so it's full of BS. He also breaks my armor D: Which is Pupa card *bought it LMAO* which was gives me 700 extra HP D: And my armor makes my casting uninterruptable, so yeaah. They also have a priest that's undefeatable and a SinX that kills me off in one Sonic Blow. x__x

I used to play High Rates such as XecutiveRO but then they remade the server into ekRO which turned into a DONATE SERVER so I quit. .__.' My sis donated $40 worth of shiz.

I knoww...I don't like some of them T.T Like the Rune Knight one seems too....bleh for me. :U I liked the good old LK better. Still, 3rd class Sniper has like, wolves that you can ride on. D8 It's freeeaking awesomee.

Oh and about the 3rd class thing.
YEAAH I was crying more than once but I guess what helped me keep going was the fact that iRO's exp rates are so less. x.x; I have gotten 5 anubis cards (I've killed over 5,000 anubis!) and it's really depressing. T__T I want Argiope card against this GAY SinX who keeps EDP and killing me off. D: Damnit! It's not fair, we have like 6 or 7 players and we go against this guild with 3 players and they PWN us.

I skipped all of your posts just to comment that RO2 is 10x better than the first. In my opinion. Anyway, yeah, private servers are hard to find, and even if you do find one, they're usually in the middle of translating >.>

Well, on the bright side, RO DS is coming out this year in Feb. ish.

WoE was never my thing... It was more of my brother's thing. I remember at one point, when we only had one computer and were limited to switching every hour, he was madly clicking and skill spamming while cursing under his breathe.

I got so pissed at him for not getting off ( hour 30 minutes, hello!~) I called my mom and told on him.

Around 6th grade I got back into RO and basically, played a server a day. I would install one, play it for a while, review it on ratemyserver, and then uninstall and repeat.

I went from super high rate to mid-rate

Low rates piss me off, although they probablly are more fun after you work a long time.

But like.. every good server I've been on has like.. shut down. I forgot all of their names, naturally, but like... it got me mad. I mean like, I did the ninetails quest ( the one for the mask that makes you get like 999 tails of the fox ) and I was like halfway finished when they shut down the Pserver.

urgh.... anyway, yeah I prefer Ro2

There's a pserver for RO that's called Euphro, and they were like the first people to hack and translate RO2.

Although the rates were low, I recall pwning everyone cuz my character was ... a magic user. Forgot teh actual term. Anyway, sooner or later, everyone figured out that magic users pwned, and soon the mods and admins found out, and than WHAM!

Yeah, RO2 is pretty laggy cuz for some reason not one of the Pservers are located in the US, making the internet connection... crap. Utter Crap.

But, yes there are things sort of like wings. If you join a guild that's a high level, you're given a cape. I'm not sure if they've incorporated wings yet, but I know that capes were the thing that was popular the last time I was on. Everyone was always looking for capes...

Yeah, the stats still kind of confuse me. I remember VIT raises defense, AGI is like.. how fast u are and DEX improves like.. archer and gunslinger. Yeah....

But the thing about RO DS is that you're a guy. With red hair. That's right, you're the default guy. ugh. I heard that if you go to a certain dungeon you're allowed to change you're hair, but then it defaults back. But you can like choose your job and stuff. Of course they don't have the 3rd job classes, and I don't think they have like Ninja and Gunsliker and Tkwan....

Ah... I've forgotten how much I've loved RO...

Ah, have you seen the anime yet? It's not.. wonderful, but it's really funny and epic and win. and stuff.

LOLYESCUSTOMS. <_< I had my own Private Server *GOD IT TOOK ME HOURS * and tried to implement customs but it didn't work D: If I could pixel my own customs *doable* and then implement them *not so doable* then it'd be so cool~ :U But everytime I tried to, it gave me this ghey ERROR cuz it couldn't find the sprite --- I saved the sprite in the wrong directory, but all the directories were written in Korean so How the Eff am I Supposed To Know Which One To Save it To? =_=; I saved it to ALL of them but even then it didn't work. o.o;

You do not meet the minimum requirements to run RO2. Video: S3 Graphics SuperSavage/IXC 1014 (1290) and 254MB RAM. That computer is worse than my 7 year old 867mhz G4 and the graphics card is made to display windows (basic 2d acceleration) and not much else as it doesn't event support Hardware T&L, and you have the minimum REQUIRED ram to RUN windows XP (256mb).

Sadly this is not a question of upgrading the laptop, but a complete replacement is required to run any game made post 2000 that is 3D based.

That i'm aware of, no there are no pets. I doubrt they have the T classes, and the highest lvl I've ever seen any one on a pserver for RO2 was 99. Max sstats probably the same, and yeah, the stats mess me up too. the poring is actually pretty strong. instead of it being the newb, this berry thing is the newb.

rgh burning sensation killing me, now typing with one hand. they don't have the same towns, unfortunately, but they have different continents that u can travel to by ship. it brings another lvl to the game
