Math is helpful when you least expect it. Like trying to save money on your car insurance by swiching to Geiko.
Or trying to raise your hourly pay by 5% from your original pay.
Or counting cats by estimation.

Lol. I just think that I will never use Algebra again. I mean I am good at algebra but I just don't see a use in finding X. Other things, yes, are very helpful like addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division, but give me ONE circumstance where I need to make a graph for Y=5X-15

However, your question is 'When would I ever use 5x-15 in a graph?'
Supposing that you are going to acquire a job in your future life. If you have a debt of $15, that gives you -15. If you want to graph how profitable your job is, and you obtain $5 an hour, then you will be getting y=5x-15. Y being how much money you have, and x being how many hours you have worked.
:] That is how you would use a graph of y=5x-15; to show how much accumulated wealth you have obtained, (and discarded, with more complicated equations that are probably not linear) and, if you keep working at the same pace, how much you will probably acquire by continuing to work at the same pace.

Equations can be used in shopping. For instance, if you bought a book for 15 dollars and you want to find out how many 5 dollar cds you could buy, then the equation would be y=5x+15.

i can second mary on that. ac math is freaking hell. and michelle has a point. you would be insane to use an equation when grocery shopping or something like that.
And christy, who would want to be a freaking math teacher? that would just be hell. And i would personally (totally) not like a job in science. so that's out.
math doesn't really have a point after a certain part.
