From afar, the girl could tell she was getting no where with her superior. All he ever cared about was progress. What she cared about was improvement.
" The least you could do is send another one down. Come on, that last guy was waaaaayyyy back. They need another one."
" What they need is to learn how to work together, not with a leader."
Sighing, the girl rolled her eyes and dramatically looked to the window. The domed room was pretty plain with modern looking chairs and tables, along with mediocre lights. But the real seller to it was the ceiling. As the wall curved in, glass was inserted in the making to create a spectacular finish of a window above the heads of any who entered. It was pretty cool too.
" No wonder people hate you..."
" Coming from you? Thanks for the criticism, but no thanks."
Frowning, the boy angrily glared at the girl and pouted. All she ever did was look out of that stupid window. What was so great about it anyway?
Sighing, the boy flopped down onto a chair and slumped on the table in a lax manner.
" Hey.. where's Mindy anyway...?"
As she flipped her golden brown hair over her shoulder, the girl responded with a quick gesture of her hand
" She said something about Milky again...."
" Urgh... She really loves it...."
" Key word being It..."
The boy gave a shudder as he sat up a little taller.
" I guess... I could send another one down...."
The boy was obviously reluctant as he furrowed his brows and glared at his feet. The girl, however, responded with a happy shriek and ran over to the boy to scuffle his hair.
" Thanks Deus!!! I'm dieing over here!"
" You're such a drama queen, Terra."
" Quiet, you. Now hurry it up."
" Fine fine..."
While he shook his head free of fingers, Deus shut his eyes hard and made a very strange face. His utter bounced off the walls of the room in an earie fashion,"Go."
" Name!~"
"B.H.O"
" Type!~"
" AF, M"
" Life!~"
"Po T U"
" Awesome!"
"Hrrrmmph...."
Terra could tell that Deus was upset, but she waved him off and skipped back over to the window. Glancing out, she softened her gaze and pressed her nose on the glass.
"I hope I get better soon...."
" Hrrrmpphhh..."
Quietly, Deus made a noise in his throat and glanced up at the ceiling. The beautiful glass shimmered as it morphed into a circle, letting a small figure gently float into the room. Clamping shut with an ear-splitting pop, the glass returned to it's original state as the angelic figure dropped to the floor.
Deus shifted his body towards the figure and happily sat backwards on his chair.
" Mindy! What have you been doing now?"
" I, my dear, gave something brilliant for Milky to think about!"
Giving a collective groan, Terra rolled her eyes as Deus banged his head on the chair.
" Again with Milky! You know it's going to die, right? It can't stay like that forever!"
Mindy raised her arm in alarm at Deus's words and angrily twirled her light blonde curls betwween her fingers.
" But he's doing so much good for them! Even if Milky does die, he did something great for them!"
" How many times do I have to tell you that Milky is an it, not a he?"
" It's just a pronoun, Deus, my goodness, how do you handle with him all day, Terra?"
" I'm not sure myself, Mindy..."
The scene was one to laugh at. A girl no older than 5 was glaring angrily at a boy no younger than 14, as a bemused 13 year old stared in wonderment.
" You too should come look out the window."
Minus a few grumblings, the two joined their companion at the window and gazed out in admiration. Surrounding their room was a soft white fog with creatures of a golden color that flitted about. Through the fog, the three smiled at the sight of the spherical shape that glowed. It used to be brighter, but through time, it's contrast had dwindled and slowly, it became dimmer and dimmer.
" Well..."
