" Y..yes...D-do y-you... want to.... m-meet up.. d-d-d-during lunch...?"
Luckily for her, Lilith's swimming class came before lunch. For some unlucky swimmers, it came after. To say the least, the clinic had it's hands full afterwords. Glancing at her new-found friend, Lilith noted that he looked a little sad. So he didn't enjoy hallway's crowds? Well, not a lot of people did.
Lilith was one of the strange ones in the end.

Dude. I'm reading this Momokai AU fic. With HarryDraco in it. Wtfman, HarryKai? LMAO. DUDE. PWN. THIS THING IS SO FULL OF CRACK. Kaidoh kawaii desu <3 --- "Lunch, sure." He grinned again and waved as he got into the classroom. For once, no one had bothered to do anything to him in the hallway ...! Maybe it was because of the presence of Lilith. If it was like that, well that was just another reason to have friends, wasn't it? However, a problem was that there were no seats left except for by the window. He sighed and sat down. 'Hopefully they'll think I'm a girl, that I'm a girl...'

" Two laps freestyle, three laps breaststroke, now!"
Before stepping into the pool, Lilith glanced sideways at the nearby window and shyly smiled at Alexander. Before changing, she was confronted by a few male swimmers. Lilith never cared for peer pressure, so she tuned them out, but they looked pretty mad.
Snapping back to reality, Lilith slipped into the water and began the warm up. The cool water tugged at her skin as she glided through the water. From her sides, she felt other swimmers, but the moment was hers. Through her goggles, she could see the sun filter through the water, almost picturesque in a sense. As she flipped to begin the next lap, she met air, for only a moment, and continued to swim. Her light blue bathing suit felt like another layer of skin to her as her heart thumped through the exercise.
She was in her element.

As a few people approached his new friend, Alex winced. Hopefully she wouldn't be treated unfairly just because of him...? But the way she just ignored them, brushing it off with a stoic (word?) face, it really surprised him. 'But when she talked to me, she was so...shy? How come she changed like that?' But something stopped him from contemplating; the swimming teacher called out their instructions and...well, Lilith looked so graceful swimming that Alex couldn't take his eyes off her. --- [COUGHPERVERTCOUGH] *ahem* Sorrysorry. LOL CRACKFIC WHERE THEY DIE AND --- dud ei just need tow rite some fic --- "Alexandra!" "Ah?" Alex stopped staring, and turned around to the substitute teacher. A few of the males in the classroom snickered and one of them informed the sub that 'Alexandra' was actually 'Alexander', and was a boy. "Oh, I'm sorry," the teacher blushed apologetically. "It's...okay," Alex muttered.
See, now, this was why he hated language arts.

Heaving herself from the water, Lilith happily sat on the edge of the pool. As she watched her classmates finish their warm-ups, her mind wandered. The pool's spacious area allowed all of the students to have their own lanes. A great feature that appealed to Lilith. If there was one thing that irked her more than an un-used pool, it was a small, crowded one.
But the academy's pool made her happy. Lots of lanes, clear waters, a great coach, and a retractable roof in case it ever rained. State of the art, top notch, and expensive. Yup, the academy had one of the highest enrollment fees Lilith had ever seen. Although compared to other schools, it was rather low. So long as students had a background in their talent, they were admitted.
Luckily for Lilith, her brother vouched to pay for the school fees. Lucky her.
" All right, ya'll, let's do some Medley Relays!"
As the coach counted off each person into different groups, Lilith caught Alexander's eye again and shyly waved.
" Lilith, you're in that group o'er there." Nodding, Lilith walked over to her group of four. A brash boy, a loud girl, and a skillful boy awaited.
The four agreed on an order and took up their own posts.
" Ready. Set." The coach blew the whistle and proudly watched as one person from each group shot into the water. Lilith watched from her post as the brash boy quickly shot through the water with his butterfly stroke. Cheers from each team echoed through the room as each team mate passed off from each other. The loud girl was next, with her backstroke. Amazingly enough, Lilith's team was in second place. The class grew louder as each team grew faster and faster. Soon, it was Lilith's turn. Quickly, she shot through the water with a skilled breast stroke. As she pumped her legs, her head crested from air to water quickly. Her arms curved through the water and pushed her forward.
Though the breaststroke was one of the slowest swimming styles, it was also one of the most fun. In Lilith's personnal opinion. quickly, she performed a underwater pullout and stopped quickly at the edge of the pool. As the skilled boy raced off in the water, she happily noted that he was doing the front crawl. Each of the ten teams had a player in the water heading towards the same goal. At the coach's whistle, the winning team triumphantly cheered and high fived each other.
Lilith's team came in fourth place. Not bad for a start.
" A'ight, take five, ya'll."
Lilith gave each of her team members a quiet, " good job", and took a breather on a bench to the side of the pool. Happily, she peeled off her swim cap and placed it next to her swimming goggles.
It was a good class.

The lesson was boring in general, mostly because Alex could care less about writing. He didn't suck at it, but he wasn't good at it. He wished to go to the next period, where he could bake and cook. Actually, the cakes that people in the cooking class made were sometimes put on sale. Oh, how he had to train for that competition ...! He wanted to win it, although he had no idea what he would make. Sometimes he daydreamed of making exquisite exotic dishes, other days of creating pastries that no one could walk by without eating, because its aroma was just that enticing. "Alex! Earth to Alex?" The sub caught him off guard for a second time, and the boys snickered again. They began to murmur. "He's probably dreaming about his boyfriend." "His gay fifty-year old boyfriend." "He's just showng off with his dresses, trying to be a girl." "He'll never be a girl." "You hear that, Alexandra? You'll never be a girl! So just give up!"
"Now now, class! That's not very nice," the sub scolded. But she laughed along with them, Alex noticed. What the hell, whatever. These idiots couldn't cook worth crap. Their food would never be put on display. Never be eaten in a restaurant. Or put on sale in a bakery. Just ignore them, ignore them like Lilith does...

After a couple of more practice races and a lesson on breathing, the entire class went off to change back into their clothes before the bell rang.
Quickly going through a rinse off, Lilith was the first to finish putting on her shoes. As she stomped them in place, her azure eyes blinked away some excess water as she dried her hair off. With everything in place, Lilith sprinted around the corner of the girl's locker room and right in front of the main door to the hall. She was a few minutes early, understandably, so she quietly inched her way to the door of the class room with Alexander. As she pressed herself to the wall, the bell rang, announcing the lunch period, and a stream of students came out from every direction. The hall was filled with the smell of water and food again.
Once most of the students had left the class room, Lilith cautiously stepped into the class and walked over to Alexander.
"H-hi ... again."

"Ahh, hi." One of the boys noticed the two. "Hey, look, little Alexandra's gotten a girlfriend!" "Wow, I wonder how he did it." "He probably payed her five bucks a minute, man, whaddya think?" "Ikr, it's not like he got into this school through talent. It's all money here, man. His dad's probably loaded or something." They laughed again, this time loudly. Alex blushed, and looked down at teh floor.
"Ehm...Lilith, if you don't want to hang out with me, you don't have to..." He didn't want her to get picked on too.

That brought back bad memories. The poison part of the human personality. The poison that ruined her precious past-time. It made her blood boil. Lilith remembered countless times where a good watching experience was ruined by such poison. They were such wonderful times, too. Before the poison seeped in. The poison. The poison. The poison.
Slowly, Lilith blinked once and turned towards the poison. She took two steps forward and gave a long stare at all of them. Her azure eyes grew hard as she stared at all of the boys. The poison. The poison. She wanted to rid the world of it.
The accursed poison.
Suddenly, with great ease, Lilith grabbed Alexander by the hand and smiled.
" L-let's go to lunch, Alexander!"
Clenching her hand hard around Alexander's, she mowed past the group of boys and into the hallway. She pushed her way through the crowd, bag in one hand, Alexander in the other. Her heart calmed itself as she fell at ease in the hallway. After running to the lunch room, she finally relinquished and dropped his hand.
"S-Sorry..."
Straightenning herself out, she looked Alexander square in the eye and gave an awkward smile.
" Who I.. choose to hang out with... is d-d-decided by me. I-i-if I didn't... want to hang out with you.... I wouldn't have... have talked to you.. in th-the first.. pl..ace.."
After her shaky speech, Lilith took a deep breathe in and exhaled quickly.
"Let's.. go get some.. lunch."

Alexander watched Lilith go though this. It felt nice. Made him happy. That she was doing all of this for him. That she'd try this hard for him. He smiled sweetly. (You know, that Ichimaru Gin smile. LOL) "Okay." As they approached the lunchroom, the scent of delicious food hit him. He saw that they were selling bakery items from the cooking class again. They always did that, taking some of the batch and putting them on sale at lunch. The swimming class didn't like the idea of buying them, but they tasted and smelled really good. Then he noticed that his cupcakes were on sale. They had pink frosting on them and were decorated delicately with buttercup roses. "Ahh. I can't believe it, they're only selling it 25 cents per cupcake...And the other ones are for a dollar each..."

Lilith glanced from Alexander to cupcake, and back to Alexander. He had complained about the price of the cupcakes, for one reason or another. Though normally she wouldn't concern herself with the cost of things, it made her confused. Was he complaining on how cheap they were, or how inaccurately priced? Most of the time, Lilith both the necessary food and ate. She never ate any of the "indulgence" foods, as her brother called them. For good reason, too. They had unnecessary sugars and fats that could slow a swimmer down. Plus, they were called indulgence foods for a reason. Quietly, Lilith stepped in line to check out food, and cautiously glanced at Alexander. He was still looking at the cupcakes. Lilith curled over a strand of her hair in deep thought, until she finally decided to speak.
"D-do... you like.....sweets?"

"Oh." Alexander realized that he'd been staring at his cupcakes sullenly. "Sorry, sorry. I do like sweets, they're really yummy, but I prefer to make them." He chose a pizza and a coke. Which was nice that the Academy actually sold stuff like this. Not that the swimming class ever bought any of it, because, well, they always ate like, salads and stuff. Anorexic creeps. "Hmm."

" I-I-I'm not very good at cooking. It's... probably why I'm here for swimming."
Happily, Lilith bought a sprite zero and hamburger. Even though most of the other swimming students bought salads and water, Lilith always ordered hefty things. After all, it was important for a healthy calorie input. As the two searched for a seat, Lilith noticed that something was on Alexander's mind.
" I-I-is there something... wrong?"

Alex sighed. "The pink heart frosted ones, they're my cupcakes. I didn't give them permission to sell them, but they took them anyway. And they're selling them for so cheap." He sort of half-pouted, half-frowned. "Oh well, they probably taste crappy anyway." 'Don't mind, don't mind,' he told himself.

"I find that.... m-most people m-misjudge things for their a-a-a-a-actual worth. D-don't... worry about it... O-okay?"
Lilith finally found an open table near the middle of the cafeteria and plopped her tray down. The entire lunchroom was bustling with people, short and tall, skinny and stout. If she weren't paying more attention to Alexander, she would've enjoyed the moment a little more. But there would have to be an exception today.
"S-s-since... we just m-met, I'd... like to learn m-more about you. If.. that's alright with... you?"
Why was speaking so difficult at times?
