Pepperpaw gripped the leaves tightly in her jaw as she ran through the forest, enjoying the feeling of wind ripping through her fur. She decided to take a detour before going back to camp, not really paying attention to where she was going, after a while, she arrived at the twoleg place. She slowed down a bit, peering through the cracks in the wall that separated the twolegs from the forest. <I wonder what it's like on the other side of that wall> she thought, then spied Timothy beyond one of the walls, looking a bit bored. <Is he happy there, with no one to play with, or talk to?> She shook her head, dispelling these thoughts, and turned around to run back to camp.

Crescent flicked his ears over and over again. It had been a while since he had last done the naming ceremony, and was concentrating hard on exactly what the words are.

" You aren't going to hold this off for any longer. I insist that you do this now."

Starpelt angrily growled at Crescent. He had been twitching his ears, " thinking" for what seemed like forever. It felt like a season had passed from him twitching back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.

" Allright, Starpelt, no need to get all fluffed up about it!"

Starpelt reluctantly smoothed down her fur and curled her tail back around her feet.

" I'm waitting."

" And I'm going."

Crescent exited the curved den and bounded up the steep hill.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting. Powderkit, Icekit, Snowkit, and Stormkit. Please step forward. This is a proud day for Sun Clan, by naming apprentices we show that we will survive and remain strong. Powderkit, from now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Powderpaw. May you learn well from your mentor, Snakestripe."

The two cats padded towards each other and touched noses.

" Icekit, from now on until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Icepaw. May you learn well from your mentor Starpelt."

Icepaw happily bounded towards Starpelt and slowly touched noses with her.

" Snowkit. It has been brought to both my and Mosspelt's attention that you have a promising talent as a Medicine Cat. Do you wish to become an apprentice to both Mosspelt and Pepperpaw?"

" Yes yes yes yes yes, I do I do I do!"

" Very well then. At the halfmoon, you must travel to the Moon Tree and be accepted by Moon Clan and receive your apprentice name. The wishes of all of Sun Clan shall be with you."

" Stormkit. From now on until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Stormpaw. May Berryheart teach you well."

As the final pair touched noses, the entire clan erupted into a series of yowls and meows. Each clan member celebrated with the new apprentices, and watched as they left for training.
