T___T Tidussss. -cry- I will attempt to write this...? Spoilerific, btw.
Tidus taught Yuna to whistle in Luca whenever they were apart, so they'd always find each other. It seemed like an eternity ago, compared to what they'd just accomplished - the death of Seymour, Jecht, and...even, Yu Yevon....
A while later, after Tidus jumped off the airship, knowing he must go now...Auron, Jecht, Braska --- they were all waiting for him, ready to take his hand when he accepted his fate...
Yuna is standing there, at the Besaid dock during the Eternal Calm, whistling -- she's whistling for her lost love, the one she professed to before he disappeared.
She has a slightly desperate look on her face, and doesn't notice as Lulu, the black mage, walks up.
Lulu tells her that they must depart now, for the speech she must give to all of Spira. Unwilling to leave, Yuna looks back, just in case Tidus might all of a sudden come back.
She gives a rather short speech, yet there is no mistake - much emotion and power is put behind the words. She is one who has gone through far too much in such a young age. Spira knows this and they listen to her. They are grateful - who would not be? - and at the end, Yuna adds on how their memories,
their....dreams....
Would never disappear, never vanish.
They'd always be there, in everyone's hearts.
And, miles away, under a beautiful aquamarine ocean, a boy -- no, a man -- with distinctly blonde hair is neither floating nor sinking, but instead suspended underwater. He is still wearing a unique blitzball outfit, one that hasn't been used widely for...a thousand years. His expression is peaceful, almost as if asleep --- logically there is no possiblie reason for him to be able to survive so long without oxygen, but in Spira so many things exist it's hard to tell what is what anymore... You'd have to believe, imagine, even --- have faith in it, pure faith to make out the sound of...
A whistle, from above....
And those ultramarine eyes, the ones that'd seen all of Spira, the ones that belonged to an owner who had been plucked out of his time to fufill a job that had been selected entirely for him by the events that had occured to his father --
They flitted open.
And he began to swim to the surface, following the streams of light breaking through......
------
Mary may be as good as this, but I will never.
