Now he was mad. After all of that trouble to get to the relic, the boy wanted to see his uncle? It was maddening. But if the higher ups knew that he refused his request, he would hear about it.
" No longer than 30 minutes. The leaders don't want you in harm's way."
Transforming quicker than last time, he turned into a sleeker, more aerodynamic dragon, to ensure quick flight and less turbulence.
After about an hour of flight, he finally landed on the rooftop and transformed back into himself. Luckily, the change in his form was a success, and Alex did not throw up this time. However, the after effects of changing that many times in a short period of time was effecting him. Vince was paler than usual, but managed to stand straight.
With a curt nod, he signaled that Alex could visit his uncle that was just below them. However, he had a slight feeling that something was about to happen.

Alex jumped down and knocked on the door. He heard footsteps on the other side of the door. Than a slow creak. His uncle peered at him through the door.
"What are you doing here?" he whispered.
"Well. I was allowed a request so I decided to visit you."
"You were allowed to visit me. You couldn't have gotten here so quickly though. Did he bring you?" He was still asking questions in a whisper.
"If you mean the shape shifting dude, than ya. He's not all that bad if hes helping me find my sword and stuff and letting me visit you. I don't see why you hate him so much."
His uncle pulled him through the door. "This is all part of his plan to get to you. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. It could be very dangeroud if you do. He's helping you find your sword though. He would never do that unless he had a really good reason to." His uncle thought for a bit and then continued, "He must want to find it and than destroy it so he could use you! That must be it." He ran over to his sword and grabbed it. "You're gonna go out front and say your done. I'm gonna go around back and see if I can kill him before he gets to you. If I fail, you must promise me that you will run as fast as you can out of here. Go to your mother and tell her everything that has happened. If you do not, you will never be able to find your sword or your inner power."
"Uh... Okay. Shouldn't I help you fight though. I mean like have a sword handy just in case something goes wrong?"
"He would know if you were hiding something behind your back. You must follow my plan exactly as I told you."
Alex nodded and walked outside.
"I'm done!" he called looking up at Vince the dragon.

Sighing, Vince took a step to change when he lost his balance. He never made excessive noise because it annoyed him to death, but he was pretty sure now was an exception. The pain from his head grew into all of his body as he began gasping for air. Soon, he was coughing up blood and shaking terribly. Trembling, he grabbed the box from his pocket and threw it on the ground. The pain was too much for him as he saw several figures run towards him. Vision blurring, he blacked out and was left in the familiar cold abyss. _________ i like pain |

"Well that wasn't according to our plan was it?" Alex looked a bit surprised. "At least I have you back! I can find my sword with you and train with you and..."
His uncle interrupted, "This could be a problem though. He's probably working with somebody and that somebodys gonna come after us. We have to improve your skills and help you find your sword fast. Do you know who took your sword?"
Alex thought for a minute and replied, "Well, its a female. She looked pretty deadly and she wasn't that old either. It looked like she was in a town though. It was the smallest town I've ever seen too. Looked like about five buildings. Than the scene cut off. Wasn't sure exactly if that was the right number but something around there."
"I know where she is. Come with me."

Groggily, Vince stood up from the ground. Looking up, he noted that Nocchi was there.
" How long has it been? "
" An hour. The other two left in search of the woman. Do not worry, we already have her captured."
"Good job."
Shakingly, he got up and winced slightly. After everything he had done to the so called Lord of Darkness, he had ran off. Some thanks. After all of that power it took to get him here, after all of that time it took him to convince himself not to kill him, he ran.
Sometimes people made him sick. Sighing, he manged to question a few things. After being helped lifted to the area where she was being held, he managed to gain back his strength. The area was completely surrounded with 250 of the original 500 people earlier, and the rest were inside making sure that she stayed where she was. She was wrapped in about 15 layers of different combination of darkness, metal, rope, and who knows what else.
" So do you mind telling me where you put that sword? I'll be needing it in order to get that boy back, and you're an inconvenience to my plan."sighing, he added, " We aren't going to harm you, unless you prove yourself difficult and decide to not tell us."

He followed his uncle into the town. It fit his description pretty nicely. There were only about five buildings. Three homes, two shops.
They walked into the first shop, the grocery shop, and asked, "Was there a woman in this town eariler holding a sword. It belongs to my nephew here and it means a lot to him. We thought she was here and figured we ask."
The old man behind the counter replied, "I think I did. She walked into the trading shop though. I'm sorry I can't be of more use, but you would be better starting off there."
They said thank you to the man and walked across the street to the trading shop.
They asked the same question that they asked the man that was behind the counter.
He replied quite differently though. "Yeah, she walked in here. She went straight to the back with this weird looking sword. I figured she had business with the manager. When she walked out, she didn't have the sword anymore. Does that help you guys any?"
Alex and his uncle looked at each other and than screamed at the man, "We need to see your manager!"
The man looked baffled, but calmly answered, "Okay. Give me a moment."

Sighing, Vince noticed that the girl was bracing for something. Closing his eyes, he knew he wasn't going to get anything out of her.
" Take her out and untie her. She is of no use to us."
Turning around he sighed. Today was a depressing day.
" Nocchi, change your sights to the boy.Find him and send him to the superiors. He won't be able to escape no matter how hard he tries. Also epyorkeuyeoenelirghe."
Grinning, he watched as Nocchi translated the code and nodded.
After walking to his home for the 5th time that day, he sighed and slumped down on his bed. Shape shifting too quickly resulted in his internal organs to go this way and that. Most of the time, he'd have to wait about 10 minutes before changing, but because of the damned boy, he ended up causing his stomach to shift slightly.
It was going to be a hell of a week.
